The American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) and No Kid Hungry, a campaign of Share Our Strength, invite you to the first webinar of our "Building Momentum for Language Justice in Human Services" multi-part series. This initial session will set the stage, offering background and insights into the need for language justice within human services. The presentation will address the scope of the issue, the research underpinning it, community and individual-level impacts, as well as the challenges that agencies and their community-based organization partners encounter in developing and implementing language access strategies. About the Project: Improving Food and Nutrition Supports Through Language Justice, a two-year initiative co-led by APHSA and Share Our Strength, is focused on supporting households with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and their access to food and nutrition programs through a language justice framework.
